Sis Anna, I pray you’re well my sister. I’ve just watched a video of you and your sisters backing Mukanya on Moyo Wangu, this really brought so much nostalgia. Such rare and irreplaceable gems of talent. Your energy, passion, melody and commitment to your craft really stood out. May the Lord continue increasing your territory, especially to those who were not as privileged as ourselves to watch you perform. We need the Zimbabwean musical and cultural story to continue being told by those who revere it like yourselves. Be eternally blessed. Herry.
You do so much to help others. Thank you xx
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Hi Anna,
I have run into your social media presence and it took me back to the ZimFest days and my memories of how you lived in your art.
I then wondered how things are going for you in these crazy times of lockdowns & quarantines.
The silver lining has been the time to introspect and re-evaluate a whole load of things in the rat race we live in.
I hope there are stars shining in your direction in this sea of gloom.
Best wishes,
Adrian
Oh wow how wonderful to hear from you, those were great times at Zimfest, totally unrecognisable with what we are going through at present. The arts have been hit hard and such an important part of keeping us all sane has not been prioritised by the government. Having said that i have been able to get funding to redevelop my show Kure Kure Rise Again for an optimistic outdoor settings for the summer and i show the development online infact this evening. It has been so challenging to meet and rehearse but thanks to zoom we have done what we can with what we have. Just keep pushing and adapting thats all we can do. Anyway thanks for reaching out and stay safe and healthy! Regards Anna
