Tambai are an African dance troupe made up of some of the most innovative performers and dancers working in African music in the East of England today. Featuring a superbly talented cast from, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Cuba and Kenya.
Their show takes you on a journey through the different cultures of Sub-Saharan Africa. From Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa, Guinea and Ivory Coast to name a few. They give a unique picture of the vibrance of Africa at its best.
Their shows are very interactive and those who wish to participate are encouraged to celebrate the richness of the music and traditions that lives on in our soul.
Nicknamed the Mbira Diva by the Herald Newspaper in Zimbabwe Anna takes you on a spiritual experience when she performs the mbira music/thumb piano. Accompanied by Glynnis Masuku on hosho/shakers. Mudeka can also offer this show as a duo or solo artist.
Master musician, singer, dancer and choreographer, Anna combines the unique collection of authentic drums; vibrations of the Mbira music of the Shona people of Zimbabwe; costumes, Makishi masks of the Luvale tribe of Zambia and Warrior Shields of the Zulu tribe of South Africa to give an authentic experience of Africa to the wider audience.
